Hollywoodnews.com: AMC, which has been a tour de force in original one-hour dramas, is set to pick up a project by “The Blind Side” director John Lee Hancock. Entitled “The Wreck,” the drama, penned by Graham Gordy and Michael Fuller, takes place in the world of Southern college football. The Hollywood Reporter writes, that the story “centers on the high-profile head coach of a once-legendary team that has just finished a losing season. The school gives the coach one last chance to turn the team into winners or he’s fired.” Though its prestigious, award-winning dramas have been slim in the past with “Mad Men” and “Breaking Bad,” “Wreck” joins a string of fresh one-hours that AMC is developing including political thriller “Rubicon,” airing in August, and zombie thriller “The Walking Dead,” due out in October. The fourth season of “Mad Men” begins on July 25. Award News, Breaking News, Entertainment News, Movie News, Hollywood News
